We’re Hiring – Junior SOC Engineer Join uab bank and be part of our cybersecurity team! If you are interested in Security Operations, threat monitoring, and incident detection, we’d love to hear from you. 📌 Position: Junior SOC Engineer Location: Yangon, Myanmar Experience: 1–2 years 🔎 Key Responsibilities • Monitor security alerts, events, and logs from servers, endpoints, and network devices. • Perform first-level analysis and triage of security alerts. • Investigate suspicious activities, including failed login attempts, brute-force attacks, malware detections, and unauthorized access. • Monitor and analyze unusual network activities and privilege-related events. • Perform vulnerability scanning and assessment using OpenVAS and other approved security tools. • Support incident detection, response, documentation, and security monitoring activities. 🎯 Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. • 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, system/network administration, or a related field. • Basic knowledge of SOC operations, security monitoring, alert triage, and incident response. • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, VLAN, firewalls, and common network attacks. • Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux, system and security logs, and network infrastructure. • Familiarity with malware, phishing, brute-force attacks, privilege escalation, endpoint security, and system hardening. • Familiarity with SIEM/XDR or security monitoring platforms is preferred. • Good analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills. • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. 📩 How to Apply Interested candidates are invited to submit their updated CV to aungzawwin@uab.com.mm.
